DIMENSIONAL FUND ADVISORS EXEC WILL SPEAK AT ECONOMICS CLUB TODAY
Weston J. Wellington, vice president of Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA), will speak at the Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads Wednesday, Sept. 15.
Co-sponsored by Old Dominion's College of Business and Public Administration, the luncheon will begin at noon and costs $30 for nonmembers. It will be held at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Due to limited space, reservations are required for all luncheons.
Wellington has more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry. As an in-house DFA research expert, he writes a column debunking erroneous media predictions about various markets for the company's Web site. He previously worked as director of research for LPL Financial Services. Wellington received his bachelor's degree from Yale University. His talk is co-sponsored by Wilbanks, Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC.
