COLLEGE OF SCIENCES DEAN TO RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL FIBER SOCIETY FOUNDERS AWARD
Richard Gregory, dean of the College of Sciences at Old Dominion University, was recently selected by the International Fiber Society to receive their prestigious Founders Award. He will be presented with the award during the society's international technical conference at Cornell University this October where he will also give a presentation on his pioneering work.
Gregory was given the award "in recognition of his fundamental contributions to the development of all organic electroactive and photonic polymeric devices for applications to fibers and thin films." He will give a presentation at Old Dominion this fall and has been invited by the society speak at several universities in the spring 2005.
