WOMEN WANTED FOR STUDY
The Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and the Old Dominion University Dental Hygiene Research Centers are looking for women to participate in a long term, reversible contraceptive study.
This study will look at the possible benefits of a common antibiotic on the reduction of irregular menstrual bleeding, which has been noted in previous Norplant users.
If qualified, participants will be part of a clinical trial using Norplant for up to 5 years. Participants will initially be enrolled in the six-month study, but may choose to keep the Norplant for up to five years.
To participate, individuals must be 18-40 years of age, be in good general health and having regular menstrual cycles. Qualified individuals will receive at no cost lab work, physical exams, dental evaluations, all study medications and compensation for time and travel.
For information call the EVMS 24-hour hotline at 446-5808.
