ODU COACH TO LEAD TEAM USA

Old Dominion University assistant swimming coach Jacqueline Yost will serve as an assistant coach on the U.S. Olympic swimming squad for the upcoming games in Athens, Greece. She will also be on the U.S. staff in 2008 in Beijing, China.

Yost served as a USA Swimming staff member at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona, Spain, and the 2002 World Championships in Moscow, Russia. She has also worked at the USA Swimming National Distance Training Camp and on the USA Swimming Open Water National staff.

Yost will join five ODU alumni in Greece. Maacha van der Vaart (ODU'91) on the Netherlands field hockey squad; Marina DiGiacomo (ODU '01) on the Argentina field hockey squad; Oliver Purnell (ODU'75), assistant coach for team USA basketball; Anne Donovan (ODU '83), assistant coach for USA women's basketball; and Charlie Ogletree (ODU' 89), USA Sailing-Tornado class.
