CAHANA NAMED REGION PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Old Dominion University student-athlete Nataly Cahana was named the East Region Senior Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Cahana, a native of Israel, was a four-time Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tennis player of the year. This season also marked her fourth appearance in the NCAA women's tennis singles championship. Cahana won the East Coat Collegiate Invitational and the ITA Eastern Region Championship for the second time in her career. She is ranked 30th nationally with a 29-7 overall singles record.
Regional winners of the ITA award are candidates for the national award, which will be announced May 23 for women and May 26 for men.
