ALCOHOL EFFECTS DISCUSSED JUNE 4

Virginia State Trooper Sammy D. Carr will discuss the effects of alcohol on the body as well as the effects of driving while intoxicated from noon-1 p.m. Friday, June 4 in the Cape Charles Room of Webb University Center. The presentation will demonstrate how quickly alcohol can turn fun into devastating consequences for anyone who drives while under its influence.

Those attending the presentation will be given the opportunity to wear Fatal Vision Goggles, which show visual impairment under various blood alcohol levels. While wearing the goggles attendees will be able to see how well they can catch a ball with a blood alcohol level of 0.08, which is considered legally drunk.

Please RSVP to ssarauw@odu.edu or call 683-4495. Seating is limited.
