RICHARDSON NAMED B.O.V. STUDENT REP
Emily Richardson, a junior sociology major from Norfolk, recently was named the student representative to the Old Dominion University Board of Visitors. She will succeed Nabeel Qureshi, whose term expires at the end of the spring semester.

To be eligible for the position, a student must have successfully completed at least 15 semester hours of coursework at Old Dominion and possess and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
Richardson, who has a minor in human services counseling and marketing, is an ODU Honors College student and received a four-year academic honors scholarship at the university. She is a volunteer hotline operator for the YWCA of South Hampton Roads' Women in Crisis Hotline and supervises recruiting for the Human Services Counseling Association at Old Dominion.
Ryan Davis of Norfolk and Mirei Haraguchi of Tokyo, Japan, were named as alternates for the student representative position.
