QUEST WINS PUBLICATION AWARD
Quest, Old Dominion's research magazine, recently won a Crystal Award of Excellence -- the highest honor awarded in any category -- in the 2004 Communicator Awards competition sponsored by the National Communicators Association of Arlington, Texas.
More than 3,700 entries from across the United States and several foreign countries submitted entries in the NCA's annual print media competition. In addition, three other university publications captured Awards of Distinction, the competition's second-highest honor: Old Dominion University magazine (the alumni magazine), Year in Review and the Japan Forum program brochure.
All of the award-winning pieces, which were judged on layout and design, were produced by the Office of Publications. Quest is designed by Sharon Lomax; the alumni magazine and Year in Review are designed by Karen Smallets; and the Japan Forum program brochure was designed by Shara Weber.
