PHYSICS PRESENTATION IS THURSDAY AT ODU

The Old Dominion University Department of Physics' Spring Colloquium Series presents "Strange Quarks in the Proton" by Jeff Martin of the California Institute of Technology at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in room 100 of the Oceanography and Physics Building.

The contribution of sea quarks to the everyday properties of the proton is of fundamental interest. A host of experiments are being conducted in order to address the question of how much of the proton's charge and magnetization are due to strange quarks.
