MTV INVADES ODU CAMPUS APRIL 24

Old Dominion University's "Campus Chaos" show, featuring the final leg of the MTV Campus Invasion Tour 2004 with the band Hoobastank and three separate stages featuring other bands and DJs in Webb University Center, will be on Saturday, April 24. The event is sponsored by the ODU Student Activities Council.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the concerts begin at 8:30 p.m. for this 18-and-over show. Lostprophets and Ima Robot will open for Hoobastank in the North Cafeteria, the Backyard Band and the Raw Image Band will perform on the North Mall and DJ Lonnie B will perform in the South Mall. Tickets, which are available at the Campus Information Center in Webb Center, are $3 in advance and $5 at the door for ODU students, and $7 in advance and $10 at the door for the general public.

Hoobastank headlined this year's MTV Campus Invasion Tour, which began March 19 and ends on the ODU campus. The band's second album, "The Reason," came out in December. Lostprophets' single "Last Train Home" is currently ranked third on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks Chart. They released their second album, "Start Something," in February. Ima Robot's self-titled debut hit CD shelves in September.

MTV's Choose or Lose 2004 campaign will be traveling with the Campus Invasion Tour, registering voters and offering literature aimed at raising political awareness.
