ALUMNUS TO APPEAR ON ABC FAMILY REALITY SHOW
In his regular life, Old Dominion alumnus J. Donnel Nunes is most comfortable kite boarding. But in an episode of ABC Family's original reality series, "Switched Up!" he will give up that lifestyle to become Melissa Rivers, the actress best known for the pre-Oscars show she co-hosts with her mother, Joan Rivers.
Nunes, a 1998 recreation and leisure studies graduate, lives in Kailua, Hawaii, where he is best-known for his adventurous activities, including kite surfing, mountain biking and kayaking. He also works as a party planner and a therapist in a local hospital.
"Switched Up!" gives two individuals an opportunity to trade lives for four days. Participants trade jobs, lifestyles and even families. The episode featuring Nunes will air Friday at 5:30 p.m. and again at 12 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, on the ABC Family channel (channel 19 on Cox cable in Hampton Roads).
