READ-IN IS FEB. 1 AT ODU

The second annual African-American Read-In Chain will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, in room 102 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.

Admission is free. Participants are asked to bring a favorite African American book or poem to read at the open microphone. More than 1 million people nationwide will be participating in the event to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

Light refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by ODU'S Coalition of Black Faculty and Administrators and The National Council of Teachers of English.
