LECTURE AND EXHIBIT ON GERMAN-JEWISH IDENTITY IN THE 2OTH CENTURY AT THE LIBRARY JAN. 25
Frederick Lubich, professor of foreign languages and literatures at Old Dominion University, will speak on "Rafael Seligmann's novel Der Musterjude (The Model Jew): German-Jewish History and Identity at the End of the 20th Century," Sunday, Jan. 25.
Part of the ODU Faculty Lecture Series in Jewish Studies, the talk will be held from 2-3 p.m. in room 151 of the Perry Library. It is free and open to the public.
To accompany Lubich's lecture, a selection of books from the Schepper German and Jewish History Collection will be exhibited in the lobby of Perry Library from Friday, Jan. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 28. The books depict, through historical documents, narrative and memoir, the lives of German and European Jews in the 20th century.
