'BASKETS FOR BOOKS' GAME TO BE HELD FEB. 25
When the Old Dominion University Monarchs take on the College of William and Mary Tribe in a men's basketball game Feb. 25, they'll be shooting for more than just baskets. They will also be helping to raise money for the university library.
The 13th Annual "Baskets for Books" game, co-sponsored by Old Dominion's Athletic Department and the Friends of the Library, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. A percentage of the proceeds from game ticket sales will be donated to the university's Perry Library for the purchase of new books and equipment.
Ticket prices are $13 for adults; $9 for children, senior citizens, ODU faculty/staff, and military. As a special outreach to area public libraries, anyone presenting a local public library card will receive a special rate of $7 per ticket. Such tickets must be reserved in advance by calling Nicholas Mastrocco at the Constant Convocation Center at 683-5000.
For more ticket information call 683-5000 or email nmastroc@odu.edu.
