PRE-HOLIDAY SAFETY SEAT INSPECTIONS DEC. 17

Old Dominion University's Office of Public Safety will conduct child safety seat inspections from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, outside the Child Development Center on 48th Street for members of the university community, as well as the general public.

Trained public safety personnel will inspect and, as needed, adjust seats to make them compliant with state regulations. Nine out of every 10 car seats are not installed properly, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration figures.
