ODU ROTC STUDENTS COMMISSIONED SATURDAY
Twenty-four members of the Naval ROTC program at Old Dominion University will take part in the NROTC Hampton Roads Commissioning Ceremony at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Norfolk State University's L. Douglas Wilder Center.
ODU President Roseann Runte will attend and deliver brief remarks.
Vice Adm. Albert H. Konetzni Jr., deputy and chief of staff of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, will be the guest speaker. He received his master's degree in industrial personnel management from George Washington University and is the co-author of the book "Commmand at Sea."
A commission ceremony for students in the Army ROTC program at Old Dominion University will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the auditorium of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.
Six students (one woman and five men) will be commissioned as as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army. President Runte will attend and deliver brief remarks.
The guest speaker is Brig. Gen. Gratton O. Sealock II, deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Cadet Command at Fort Monroe, Va. He received his master's degree from Troy State University in international relations and completed a U.S. Army Senior Service College Fellowship at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
