ALUMNI OFFERS SPECIAL HOLIDAY CONCERT DEAL

All Old Dominion University alumni and friends are invited to join the Alumni Association for "Charlie Brown & Friends," a holiday-themed show featuring the Virginia Symphony Orchestra with performing artists Al Jarreau, Melissa Manchester and Dave Benoit at the university's Ted Constant Convocation Center Friday, Dec. 12.

An alumni social will be held prior to the show in the Constant Center's multi-purpose room.

The show will feature three large projection screens hung above the orchestra showing footage of the renowned Peanuts characters who also appear to interact with the artists on stage. Each performer's greatest hits will be woven into a plot that roughly parallels the original "Charlie Brown Christmas Special."

Cost is $25 per person and includes show ticket and pre-show alumni reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Reservations are required by Friday, Dec. 5.
