WORK AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES INFORMATION SESSION NOV. 19

Old Dominion University's Weekend College Office will hold an information session on its Work and Professional Studies bachelor's degree program Wednesday, Nov. 19, at it five locations in Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia.

The session, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Weekend College offices at the Norfolk campus, the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center, the Peninsula Higher Education Center in Hampton, the Tri-Cities Center in Portsmouth and the Northern Virginia Center in Sterling.

The work and professional studies program offers an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree with a concentration in work-related issues. It blends the knowledge of liberal arts course work with courses that focus on the expansion of professional skills. Faculty come from a variety of disciplines, including professional writing, communications, psychology, health sciences, human resources, management, sociology and political science, among others.
