GRIEVANCE TRAINING IS NOV. 4

Supervisors of classified employees at Old Dominion University are invited to attend a seminar on the grievance procedure to resolve workplace disputes from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the Chesapeake/Portsmouth Room of Webb University Center.

Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the grievant, management respondents, the agency head, the Department of Employment Dispute Resolution, hearing officers and the courts in resolving grievances.

Participants will also be introduced to the skills needed to prevent, as well as respond to grievances.

The training facilitators are Walease Reid, employee relations manager, and Ray Gata, employee relations assistant.
