CHILD SEAT INSPECTIONS OUTSIDE WEBB CENTER OCT. 21

Old Dominion University's Department of Public Safety will sponsor free child safety seat inspections for members of the university community, as well as the general public, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the parking plaza on 49th Street near Webb University Center.

Trained public safety personnel will inspect and, as needed, adjust seats to make them compliant with state regulations. Nine out of every 10 car seats are not installed properly, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration figures.
