CAA BLOOD CHALLENGE AT ODU NOV. 11
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is hosting its second CAA Blood Challenge from September through November, with Old Dominion University's blood challenge happening from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Hampton/Newport News Room of Webb University Center.
Last year's event resulted in nearly 1,500 attempted donors and 1,165 units of blood collected from the conference's 10 participating campuses. With the help of local blood service centers, a count will be kept of how many people show up to donate blood on that campus's designated day. Based on those numbers the CAA will determine a winner.
The University of Delaware was the winner of last year's blood challenge with 262 units of blood collected, which was the largest single-day blood drive in the history of the Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore.
