STUDENTS URGED TO CARPOOL TO REDUCE TRAFFIC AND COMMUTES

With Hurricane Isabel wreaking havoc on the area's roadways, including the closure of the Midtown Tunnel, the Office of Student Services is urging students to car pool to campus to reduce traffic and their commute time.

Services for Off-Campus Students is coordinating a car pool matching service for all students, faculty and staff. If interested, contact the office at commuters@odu.edu or 683-5914 and provide the following information:

*Phone Number
*E-mail Address
*City
*Zip Code
*General Location Commuting From
*Days interested in car-pooling? (ex. Monday's only, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, etc.)
*Arrival Time to Campus
*Departure Time from Campus

The office will compile a list of all individuals interested in car-pooling for each area and distribute the list to all who have signed up to car pool.
