MANAGEMENT PROFESSOR TO BE FEATURED TODAY ON 'WITH GOOD REASON'
Shaomin Li, associate professor of management in the College of Business and Public Administration, will be featured on the statewide public radio program "With Good Reason." The program will be broadcast on the Web at www.virginia.edu/vfh/wgr beginning Saturday, Oct. 11.
The segment will air on WHRV 89.5 at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15. The show focuses on how China has changed in the last 20 to 30 years--from the Cultural Revolution to the introduction of the internet and the country's increasing integration into the world financial system.
Li, a native of China who emigrated to the United States in the 1980s, says political freedoms must be introduced if China is to thrive as a world power. He is joined on the program by Gregory Wang, assistant professor of adult education/human resource development at James Madison University.
