ADMINISTRATORS TRACKING HURRICANE ISABEL
Administrators at Old Dominion University will continue to track the progress of Hurricane Isabel and are making preparations for the safety of the campus community.
John R. Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement, said senior administration will continue to meet throughout Tuesday and will follow updates from the National Weather Service and the U.S. Navy.
Isabel, currently a powerful category three hurricane, is expected to hit land Thursday somewhere along the mid-Atlantic coast. Emergency plans would include canceling classes, securing facilities and evacuating students in the residence halls to a college campus in western Virginia.
