E.L.C. CLASSES BEGIN AUG. 26

Old Dominion University's English Language Center (ELC) is offering two non-credit writing courses for non-native speakers of English this fall. Both courses run seven weeks beginning Tuesday, Aug. 26.

XELC 5002 is a new course designed to help non-native English speaking graduate students develop paraphrasing, editing, proofreading, grammatical and stylistic skills necessary for university term paper and thesis writing. The course will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:15 p.m. Tuition for this 3-hour non-credit course is $350.

The second course being offered is XELC 4503. This course, offered online, is designed for non-native English speaking undergraduate students who need to improve their writing in order to pass the Writing Sample Placement Test or the Exit Writing Exam. The tuition for this three-hour non-credit course is $350.
