NEW BUSINESS DEAN WILL BE FEATURED IN VIRGINIAN-PILOT SUNDAY
Nancy Bagranoff, new dean of the College of Business and Public Administration, will be the first person featured in a new series to begin Sunday, July 13 in the business section of The Virginian-Pilot. Bill Choyke, Virginian-Pilot business editor, will highlight local business people in the weekly question-and-answer style articles.
Bagranoff joined Old Dominion July 1 from Miami University of Ohio, where she was an associate professor of accountancy. She also served as director of the master of accountancy program from 1999-2002 and chair of the Department of Accountancy Assessment and Curriculum Committee.
With more than 20 years of academic experience, Bagranoff has also taught at American University, where she served as chair of the Department of Accounting, as well as George Mason, George Washington and Virginia Commonwealth universities. She has published numerous journal articles and is the co-author of eight accounting books.
Currently, Bagranoff serves as a vice president and president-elect of the American Accounting Association Information Systems section and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Internal Auditors, Institute of Management Accountants and Information Systems Audit Control Association.
