GRANT WRITING CLASSES BEGIN AUG. 29
The Old Dominion University Grant Writing Certificate Series continues with classes beginning Aug. 29.
Topics covered in the series include: basic grant writing, composing the narrative, developing an effective budget and designing a strong evaluation and a winning proposal.
The workshops are designed to be taken in any order. If you are interested in becoming certified, it is required that you attend all four workshops, score an 80 on the final exam and submit a proposal. If you are not interested in becoming certified, but are interested in learning more about grant writing, please attend the upcoming workshops. Please note that the Grant Writing Certificte Series is also availabel at ODU's Northern Virginia Higher Education Center in Sterling, Va.

Composing the Narrative: Friday, Aug. 29, Sterling, Va., $125
Developing the Effective Budget: Friday, Aug. 8, Norfolk, $95; Friday, Sept. 26, Sterling, Va., $125
Designing a Strong Evaluation and Winning Proposal: Friday, Oct. 3, Norfolk, $95; Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, Sterling, Va., $125
Certification Review and Exam: Friday, Nov. 7, Norfolk, $149.
