ODU NO LONGER ACCEPTING FRESHMAN, TRANSFER APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2003

John R. Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement and admissions, announced today that Old Dominion University has met its 2003 fall semester goal for freshman and transfer student enrollment and is no longer accepting applications for next fall.

Broderick said the university expects to have 3,600 new students on campus in the fall and that student housing is already near capacity, even with the addition of 378 beds in the new University Village Apartments. He noted that another 600 beds will become available in fall 2004 at the apartment complex, which is located on campus near the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

Graduate student applications are still being accepted for some programs. For more information call the Office of Admissions at 757-683-3685 or
1-800-348-7926.

Last year, Old Dominion's overall enrollment surpassed 20,000 for the first time in school history.
