ODU ALUM TO SIGN BOOKS JUNE 25
Old Dominion University alumnus Chip Fraser will sign copies of his new book, "Philosophy of a Dashboard Saint," from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at J.M. Prince bookstore in downtown Norfolk.
A book about hope, faith, love, trust and "just feeling good about yourself," "Philosophy of a Dashboard Saint" offers 365 passages that deal with issues and challenges all of us face. It is a composite of spirit, humor, opportunity and thought-provoking issues. The Dashboard Saint's philosophy is: "There is always a solution to everything." Fraser's observations are presented under such headings as "Spontaneous Exhilaration," "Having Character and Being a Character" and "No One Can Make You Inferior Without Your Consent."
Fraser, who lives in California, is a Norfolk native and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from Old Dominion in 1969 and 1973, respectively. He began his career as a special education teacher and has also worked as a restaurateur. In 1978, he opened the Potpourri restaurant in the Ghent section of Norfolk. The name of the restaurant was changed later to Masters.
