ERGONOMICS SESSION IS JUNE 25

A presentation on workspace ergonomics will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in the Potomac/York Room in Webb University Center at Old Dominion University.

While computers have revolutionized the way we think and work, our bodies could potentially pay the price for sitting in one position for long periods of time while working at PCs. Positioning or using computers improperly can lead to various injuries from the short-term discomfort of headaches to potentially debilitating conditions like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Frank Spellman, adjunct assistant professor in Old Dominion's College of Health Sciences Environmental Health Program, will discuss ergonomic principles that can be applied to individual work environments.

Please RSVP to ssarauw@odu.edu or call 683-4495.
