BOARD APPROVES ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES
The Old Dominion University Board of Visitors approved the appointments of Alonzo Brandon to vice president for development and alumni relations and John R. Broderick to vice president for institutional advancement and admissions and chief of staff for the Office of the President. Both appointments are effective July 1.
Broderick, who currently serves as vice president for institutional advancement and admissions, will assume responsibility for community affairs and military affairs. Additionally, he will serve on one of the community boards presently served by the president, assume some public speaking engagements on behalf of the president, and represent the president at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the Council of Presidents.
Brandon, who is currently the director of development, will assume responsibility for the Office of Alumni Relations.
According to President Roseann Runte, the organizational changes will allow her to devote additional time to fundraising and on the major areas of university development and planning.
