SCIENCES LECTURE SERIES CONTINUES

Stephen J. Lepore of the Department of Health and Behavior Studies, Teachers College, at Columbia University will conduct a community talk on "Writing as a Way of Coping with Life Stress" at 7 p.m. Monday, April 7 in room 102 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.

Lepore, co-author of the recent book "The Writing Cure: How Expressive Writing Promotes Health and Emotional Well-Being," discusses linking writing to various mental and physical health outcomes and why and for whom writing may have healing powers. A reception in the lobby will begin at 6 p.m.

A scientifically-oriented talk will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in Perry Library room 151 and is titled "Health Education, Support Groups and Adjustment to Cancer in Men."
