RESERVATIONS DUE FOR MILITARY TRANSFORMATION SEMINAR

A symposium on modern warfare will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center at Old Dominion University.

The seminar, titled "A Symposium on Military Transformation and Asymmetric Warfare: Challenges and Prospects," will examine new tasks the American military has been asked to respond to, including terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. Panelists include: Ehsan Ahrari, professor of National Security and Strategy, Joint and Combined Warfighting School, Joint Forces Staff College; John Caldwell, research fellow, Center for Emerging Threats and Opportunities; Carl Conetta, co-director, Project on Defense Alternatives, Commonwealth Institute; John J.
