PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE IS TOPIC OF APRIL 16 LECTURE

A talk on "Using the Framework of Human Energy Fields and Energy Work to Prevent Child Abuse," featuring Geoffrey Leigh of the University of Nevada and Dottie Graham, founder and director of the Virginia Center for Healing Touch, will be from 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in room 224 of Kaufman Hall.

The talk is sponsored by the group In Support of Children.

The framework of human energy fields has been the subject of intense interest among medical and social science researchers particularly in the implications for health. The talk promotes examination the implications of this research and clinical work for preventing child abuse and for keeping children safe.

Geoffrey Leigh, co-author of the book "Adolescents in Families," is the author of numerous articles and chapters on families, sexuality and energy fields. Graham, a licensed health care professional for more than 40 years, is a registered nurse, a certified hypnotherapist and an ordained minister.
