ODU PRESIDENT TO DECLARE APRIL 10 "END RACISM DAY"

As part of the Office of Multicultural Student Services' No Hate/Know Love week, Old Dominion University President Roseann Runte will declare Thursday, April 10, "End Racism Day." A program will take place on Kaufman Mall from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The rain site is Webb Center North Mall.

Jessica Renda, co-chair of the End Racism Committee and a graduate assistant in multicultural student services, will present a statement of occasion. Dana Burnett, vice president for student services, and Provost Thomas Isenhour will also speak prior to President Runte's official proclamation. Shin-Ae Gho, co-chair of the End Racism Committee, will give closing remarks and members of the Student Planning Committee for End Racism Day will recite the poem "A Prayer for the World."
