HEIDEGGER CONFERENCE IS MAY 16-18
The 37th-Annual North American Heidegger Conference, hosted by Old Dominion University, will be Friday through Sunday, May 16-18, at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Norfolk.
Celebrating and examining the work of German philosopher and existentialism founder Martin Heidegger, the conference is the most prestigious in Heidegger studies in North America and among the best in the world. Lawrence J. Hatab, professor and chair of the Department of Philosphy and Religious Studies at Old Dominion University, is secretary of the group.
Old Dominion President Roseann Runte will welcome those attending the conference at 1 p.m. May 16. Presenters will be featured from higher education institutions from around the United States and the world. Faculty and students can attend the conference free of charge.
