EVALUATIONS EXAMINED BY PANEL APRIL 18

The Old Dominion University Department of Philosophy's Institute for Applied Ethics will host a panel discussion on the ethical issues raised by student teaching evaluations from 3-5 p.m. Friday, April 18, in the Burgess Room of the Batten Arts and Letters Building.

Discussion topics will include methods of conducting student evaluation and the phenomenon of web sites like www.ratemyprofessor.com, where students post public teaching evaluations.

Panelists will include Janet Bing, English; Anita Cafiero, student senate academic affairs committee; Lawrence Hatab, philosophy; and Donald H. Smith, sociology/criminal justice.
