COMPUTER CHALLENGE IS MAY 3 AT ODU
The junior division (grades K-5) of the Great Computer Challenge competition featuring 132 teams of students from local schools will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Webb University Center at Old Dominion University.
The challenge, a competition for students to demonstrate their skills in various computer applications and computer programming through a series of questions, judges entries based on originality, creativity, fulfillment of the problems' requirements and effective use of the computer. Another component of the challenge, an internet scavenger hunt, has students answer questions using only a Web browser and explain the methods they used.
