Alice P. Wakefield, associate professor of Early Childhood Education at Old Dominion University, has been awarded
the Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics William C. Lowry College Teacher of the Year Award.
The award was presented to representatives for Wakefield at the March 8 luncheon at the Annual Conference of the VCTM in Richmond. a 34-year veteran of teaching, Wakefield is in Qatar on a Fulbright grant.
