MICHELLE KELLEY SCHEDULED FOR ABC'S 20/20 TONIGHT

Michelle Kelley, professor of psychology, is scheduled to be featured on ABC's "20/20" at 10 p.m. Friday, March 21 during a segment on military parents departing for the Middle East and leaving their children behind. Her research on the topic was recently published in the book, "Military Psychology" and the Journal of American Academic Child Adolescent Psychiatry.

"During work related separations, military parents undergo particular strain, because they are unable to serve as primary caregivers, " wrote Kelley in "Military Psychology." "Moreover, among Army reserve nurses anticipating mobilization during Operation Desert Storm anxiety was higher for women with children."
