LUDWICK LECTURE IS THURSDAY IN O.E.A.S.
Old Dominion University's Department of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences' 2003 Ludwick Lecture, titled "Changes in the Ocean and Changes in Climate: What the Geological Record Reveals about Climate Variability," featuring William B. Curry of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in room 200 of the Oceanography and Physics Building.
Curry is a senior scientist in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and the director of WHOI's Ocean and Climate Change Institute.
He is the 16th distinguished scientist invited to Old Dominion University to present the annual Ludwick Lecture. The seminar was initiated in 1988 to honor John C. "Jack" Ludwick (1922-1992), who arrived in Norfolk in 1968 to take the helm as Director of ODU's Institute of Oceanography.
