ALL FACULTY, STUDENTS AND STAFF REQUIRED TO HAVE VALID UNIVERSITY IDENTIFICATION CARD
Effective March 31, all Old Dominion faculty, staff and students will be required to carry an official university identification card with them while on campus. The measure is being taken as part of the university's ongoing emergency preparedness efforts.
This also applies to part-time employees and adjunct faculty, who have not been asked to have IDs in the past. Part-time staff who are also students will only need to carry a student ID card.
There is no cost to obtain an initial photo ID card. During the week of March 24 only, the fee for a replacement card for faculty and staff will be $5. After that date, the cost of a replacement card will revert to the normal charge of $10. To receive a university ID card, you must present another photo ID, such as a driver's license or military identification card.
The University Card Center, located in room 1110 of Webb Center, is extending its hours of operation through March 29 to accommodate the increased traffic. The hours will be:
9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 24, through Thursday, March 27
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 28
9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 29.
Beginning the afternoon of March 24, the University Card Center will also have free lanyards with badge holders for faculty and staff who want them.
