DAVE MATTHEWS TICKETS ON SALE TO ODU STUDENTS FRIDAY

Global Spectrum and Old Dominion University's Student Activities Council are offering students the opportunity to purchase tickets to the March 26 Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds concert before they go on sale to the general public.

Tickets to the concert will be available for online purchase at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at www.ticketmaster.com. For verification purposes, each student must enter their nine-digit student identification number in order to purchase tickets and their student ID must match their name and the name on their credit card. Each student will be able to purchase a maximum of two tickets and there will be a limited amount of tickets allotted during this internet pre-sale. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. All tickets are $49.50.

Old Dominion students unable to purchase tickets during the internet pre-sale will be able to take part in the public on sale by participating in the wristband lottery. The wristband lottery will be held at the Constant Center at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.

The first 500 people will receive a randomly-numbered wristband. A drawing will be held at 10 p.m. that will determine what wristband number will be first in line at the Constant Center Box Office when tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Each wristband will not guarantee tickets to the concert, merely a place in line when they go on sale. A live band, concessions and a live on-site broadcast from the 93.7 The Coast will be at the wristband lottery. Tickets can also be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Matthews and Reynolds will perform at the Constant Center on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. The event will mark the first time the duo has toured together since 1999. The Constant Center at Old Dominion University is one of only 12 venues to host this exclusive tour. The show is co-sponsored by Global Spectrum and ODU Student Activities Council.

More information is available by calling Ticketmaster at 671-8100 or on the Web at www.ticketmaster.com; or from the Constant Center box office at 683-4444 or their Web site at www.constantcenter.com.
