'ROOTS OF THE WITHERED TREE' PERFORMED DEC. 28-29 AT THE CHRYSLER

"Roots of The Withered Tree," a play by Corey Staten, a student at Old Dominion University, will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 28 and 29, at the Chrysler Museum Theater, 245 W. Olney St., Norfolk.

"Roots�," a humorous play and a "new holiday classic" about stereotypes and the truth that strengthens us, stars Vincent Epps, Jill Holley Jenkins, Garrett Jones and Johanna Clark. Featured guest performers are the Pamoja Dada Dancers, Capoeira Uhuru Association and spoken-word artist Queen Sheba, a recent finalist on the television program "Showtime at the Apollo."

Admission is $15.50 in advance; $17.50 at the door. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster locations or on the Web at www.ticketmaster.com
