PSYCHOLOGY PROFESSOR QUOTED IN USA TODAY
Donald Davis, associate professor of organizational psychology at Old Dominion University, was quoted in USA Today in a story on the country's workers helping and supporting each other during tough times.
In "Workers take comfort in their colleagues" by reporter Stephanie Armour, Davis discusses the benefits to companies and corporations that encourage a family-like atmosphere.
"The extent to which someone receives support after a tragedy or trauma, we'd then expect stronger emotional attachment to the company," the article quotes Davis. "They feel more attached; there is less absenteeism, less turnover."
