The Old Dominion University Alumni Office will host pre-game tailgate parties prior to the opening women's and men's basketball games in the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

The Lady Monarchs will open their season in the new center on Friday, Nov. 22, against the University of Virginia Lady Cavaliers. The alumni tailgate party will be held at 5 p.m. Game time is 7 p.m. The men's team will play the University of North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday, Nov. 24. The alumni tailgate party will begin at 11 a.m. Game time is 1 p.m.

Tailgate parties will be held in front of the Child Study Center, on the corner of 45th Street and Hampton Blvd. Parking will be available in Lots 20 & 40 (turn off Hampton Blvd. onto 45th Street, which will lead you directly into these parking lots).

Cost per person is $20 and includes a game ticket, tailgate food and beverages (beer and soda) and an ODU Fan Towel. Season ticket holders may purchase tickets to the tailgate parties for $7 per ticket holder. Children under age 4 will be admitted free.

There are a limited number of tickets available at this price. When the Alumni Office sells out of its first ticket allotment, ticket price will be $27 and will include a bonus ticket to another game later in the season.
