ODU WOMEN'S CENTER RECEIVES GRANT

The Old Dominion University Women's Center recently received a $5,000 grant from the Cooperative Grants Program (COOP) for its Women's Institute for Leadership Development in a Global Context.

The grant will be matched by contributions from the University and other organizations. The program will expand Women's Institute for Leadership programs by incorporating global theory and increasing the participation of international students. Activities will enhance students' intercultural leadership skills and address global issues impacting women's leadership and advocacy.

COOP was implemented by NAFSA: Association of International Educators and funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
