INTERNATIONAL HEALTH SYMPOSIUM IS OCT. 25 AT OLD DOMINION
Dr. Ramon Lopez, director of the ministry of health and social assistance, will discuss "Health Reform in the Dominican Republic" as part of a symposium on international health from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in room 102 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building at Old Dominion University.
Laurel Garzon and Gail Grisetti, associate professors in the college of health sciences, also will discuss Old Dominion's partnerships in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Karen Remley, executive director of Physicians for Peace, will discuss the impact of volunteers on world health. Robert Jacobs, director of the joint EVMS/Old Dominion Master's of Public Health, will discuss public health challenges in developing countries.
