FINANCIAL CRIMES INVESTIGATOR JOHN MOYNIHAN TO SPEAK AT ECONOMICS CLUB LUNCHEON SEPT. 13
International money laundering and associated financial crimes investigator John F. Moynihan will be the guest speaker at the Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads luncheon Friday,
Sept. 13.
Co-sponsored by Old Dominion's College of Business and Public Administration, the luncheon will begin at noon and cost $30 for nonmembers. It will be held at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Due to limited space, reservations are required.
As partner and founder of BERG Associates in Washington, D.C., Moynihan has pioneered the design of monitoring and compliance programs to prevent and detect fraudulent financial schemes and is an expert investigator of financial crimes.
He has worked as senior manager at a Big Six accounting firm, specializing in money laundering matters, and has counseled multinational corporations on anti-money laundering initiatives in the United States, Latin America, Africa and Europe. Moynihan also served as an intelligence specialist for the U.S. Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration.
Moynihan received a bachelor's degree in economics from Holy Cross College and an M.B.A. in international finance from Old Dominion University.
