PRESIDENT RUNTE TO THROW OUT FIRST PITCH DURING OLD DOMINION NIGHT AT HARBOR PARK AUG. 31

Old Dominion University President Roseann Runte will throw out the first pitch during Old Dominion night at Harbor Park Saturday, Aug. 31.

Sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Student Activities and Leadership, the night will include a Norfolk Tides vs. Richmond Braves baseball game, in-game picnic and post-game fireworks.

Due to a rained-out game earlier in the summer, game time will be 6:15 p.m. President Runte will throw the first pitch at 6:05 p.m. The remaining five innings of the rained-out game will be played at this time and will be immediately followed by the regularly scheduled nine-inning game. The Old Dominion picnic will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will last through the end of the game and fireworks.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for Old Dominion faculty and staff, $5 for current Old Dominion students and $8 for children age 8 and younger. Price includes reserved seat and picnic (hamburger, potato salad, cole slaw, potato chips, cookies, watermelon, soda, coffee and all-you-can-eat hot dogs).

Tickets for alumni and children may be purchased from the Office of Alumni Relations by calling 683-3097 or 1-888-ODU-3435 (toll free).
